Where is the festival going to be held?

Spring Jam™ will be held in and around Coffman Memorial Union, 300 Washington Avenue SE, Minneapolis, MN 55455, on the University of Minnesota Twin Cities campus

Is the event held rain or shine?

Yes, subject to safety guidelines. Make sure to follow @UMNSUA on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram for the most up-to-date information.

What services will be on-site?

First aid, an information booth, and lost and found are located on the Riverbend Plaza.

Are the all activities and experiences free?

Yes all activities are free. Food and beverage from the food trucks and beverages in the Beer Garden will require purchase. There will be free food and beverage options available.

What can't I bring?

Items not permitted inside festival grounds: aerosol cans, alcohol, animals (except service animals), backpacks, bags larger than 4.5” x 6.5”, balls (beach balls, footballs, baseballs, etc.), beverages or liquids, cameras, coolers, drones, fireworks, food, illegal drugs, laser pointers, markers and/or paint, noise making devices, objects that can be used as projectiles (sticks, bats, clubs, poles, frisbees, etc.), balloons, sticks or flag poles, lighters, tobacco and vape products, tripods, umbrellas, video cameras, weapons, pepper spray.

All prohibited items must be disposed of before entering the festival grounds. You won't be able to check items at the gate and all unattended items will be disposed of.

Can I bring my bag into Spring Jam?

Bags smaller than 4.5”x6.5” (with or without a strap/handle) are allowed but are subject to search by security at the entrance. Backpacks, luggage, grocery bags, duffel bags, large bags, large purses or large camera cases will not be permitted.

Can I bring my camera?

Cell phone cameras are allowed.

Video cameras, tripods, GoPros, cameras and drones will not be permitted.

What if I don't have my U Card?

We will be card swiping at various locations to get attendance information, to enter for prize drawings, and to collect information from prize recipients. If students do not have their U Card, we can look them up in GopherLink.

Is the festival open to non-students?

Yes, general public attendees are welcome.

What is the age requirement for non-students?

We will not be enforcing age restrictions.


 

Policy

What is the media/film/photo policy?

Attendance implies consent to be photographed or videotaped. Media inquiries and press pass requests must be sent to [email protected] prior to April 1st.

Beer Garden & Alcohol

Who can get into the beer garden?

Individuals 21+ with a valid government-issued photo ID.

Will non-alcoholic beverages be available at Spring Jam?

Yes, non-alcoholic Coke beverages will be available. Attendees may also bring a clear, empty water bottle to fill at water stations

What are the alcohol restrictions?

All alcohol must be consumed within the designated Beer Garden area. Purchases are limited to three drinks per person.

Lost & Found

I lost my U Card, do you have a lost & found for these items?

All U-Cards found on site will be handed in to the U Card office following the event. Please check with the U Card office before purchasing a new one. All non UCard lost and found items will be given to the Welcome Desk.
