LET'S BE FRIENDS
We’re inviting student groups to become Friends of Spring Jam for a chance to connect with thousands of students at the largest outdoor social event on campus.
As a Friend, you’ll have the opportunity to showcase what your student group does best -- whether that’s leading an artmaking workshop, performing on our festival stage, hosting a tournament, decorating one of our festival spaces or creating your own activation to engage and entertain Spring Jam attendees.
Partnership Opportunities
The Spring Jam committee is looking for student involvement in each of the following areas:
- Creative Workshops (e.g. face painting, tote bag decorating)
- Recreation and Games (e.g. yard games, trivia, scavenger hunts)
- Performance (e.g. on stage performance, pop-up performances)
- Compost Crew

How does it work?
1. Apply to be a Friend of Spring Jam
Tell us about your student group and how you intend to engage festival-goers. Include details about your preferred activation and request funding for event supplies, up to $250.
Choose from our list of ideas included in Friends of Spring Jam 23 Packet or propose your own. If your group wants to be involved but isn’t sure about what kind of activity to host, please get in touch -- our team can help advise you about ideas and options.

2. We’ll review your application and get in touch
You should hear from us within two weeks, once our team has had a chance to review your application. We'll let you know if your application has been successful or work with you to get it where it needs to be.
3. Plan your activation, with support from our team
We’ll work with you to plan your Spring Jam activation and help your group to plan and prepare for the big day, through event advising, optional activation workshops and other planning resources.
4. The big day!
Spring Jam takes place on Saturday, April 30, 2022, in Parking Lot 37, directly behind Mariucci Arena. Your group will receive detailed check-in and shift instructions to ensure your activation runs smoothly. Once your shift is over and your activity has been torn down, your group is free to enjoy the rest of the festival!
